Project: Integrated Rural Development Project (IRDP)

Project Objective: The IRDP focuses on the integrated and comprehensive development of Suksale village, targeting improvements in health and socio-economic conditions while exploring local livelihood opportunities for tribal communities.

Key Activities:

  • Data collection involving 781 individuals from 182 households in Suksale village.
  • Organizing health check-ups and medical consultations for the local population.
  • Capacity-building workshops for 12 Self-Help Group (SHG) members, spread across four batches, focusing on entrepreneurship development.
  • Identifying and promoting various income-generation activities, including vegetable cultivation, bamboo products, tailoring, oil extraction, incense stick making, and papad production.
  • Identifying aspiring micro-entrepreneurs.

Major Outcomes and Impact:

  • Household data collection enabled a comprehensive understanding of local issues, challenges, and needs.
  • Four health check-up and medical consultation camps benefiting 270 residents.
  • Capacity-building of 208 SHG members from 12 self-help groups.
  • Identification and promotion of a wide range of income-generation activities, such as vegetable cultivation, bamboo products, tailoring and fashion designating
  • Identification of 50 aspiring micro-entrepreneurs

Project: “SWAVALAMBAN”

Project Duration:

Project Objective:

Empowerment of the fisherman community with a specific focus on health, education, women’s empowerment, and social entitlements.

Key Activities:

  • Capacity-building women, focusing on the formation and nurturing of self-help groups (SHGs).
  • Gradation of SHG’s
  • Entrepreneurship development of SHG members
  • Vocational Skills Trainings for income generation
  • Health Camps for Women
  • Health Education Sessions with pregnant and lactating women and adolescent girls in reproductive and child health
  • Access and Availment to Government Schemes

Major Outcomes and Impact:

  • Socio- economic empowerment of 80 women and communities through strengthening and vocational skills training of members of SHGs in tailoring, fashion designing, kitchen gardening , poultry and broom making
  • 23 SHG Members from 7 SHG’s started various income generation activities
  • Availment of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Scheme to 27 women
  • Revolving Fund Support to 3 SHG’s by Panchyat Samiti Shirur
  • Support by ICICI Bank through District Rural Development Agency to 68 women
  • Availment of Gharkul Scheme of Panchayat Smiti Shirur to 64 local residents
  • Support for social entitlements to 80 women

Project: SAHAYOG

Project Duration:

  • Kurkumbh Village Daund Block, Pune District

Project Objective: integrated and comprehensive development of village Kurkumbh in Daund Block of Pune District .

Key Activities:

  • Capacity Building of women in promotion and development of Self Help Groups
  • Health Initiatives for Women and Children INITIATIVES FOAdult WASH Session for Secondary and Higher Secondary School Children
  • Construction of 2 toilet blocks for Zilla Parishad Primary School .
  • Training programs in entrepreneurship development for sustained livelihood .

Major Outcomes and Impact:

  • Capacity Building 415 women out of which 128 women formed 9 SHGs
  • ENT Checkup of 413 students from 1st -7th standards
  • 10 WASH Session for 842 students of Secondary and Higher Secondary School Children (377) and 465 students from Zilla Parishad Primary School
  • Regular use of toilet blocks by the primary school children
  • Entrepreneurship development trainings for 100 women
